What to do after the crash
Medical care first, even if you feel fine. Police report. Photos of everything. Names and phone numbers of witnesses. Do not sign anything from the insurer. Do not give a recorded statement without talking to a lawyer.
This section is at the top because it is what you need right now — not what we want to sell you.
Don't talk to the adjuster before talking to us
The other insurer's adjuster calls quickly and sounds friendly. Their job is to reduce what the company pays. A recorded statement, a signed broad medical authorization, or a quick settlement accepted — any of the three can close your case for far less than it is worth. [LEGAL REVIEW]
What we can recover
[LEGAL REVIEW: categories only, no amounts, no promises, no "you will receive."]
How long do I have to file?
In Texas, the general deadline for personal injury is two years from the date of the accident. [LEGAL REVIEW: confirm and note exceptions — minors, government entities, late-discovery cases. These exceptions matter and getting them wrong is serious.]
Waiting costs evidence: security camera footage is overwritten in weeks, witnesses move, memories fade.
How we charge
We work on contingency: you pay nothing upfront, and we take a percentage only if we recover money for you. [CONFIRM: the percentage, and whether it varies if the case goes to trial.] Case costs — expert witnesses, medical records, filing fees — are separate from attorney's fees. [CONFIRM: how costs are handled if the case is not won.]
Every firm says "free consultation." Very few explain how the money actually works. That explanation builds trust.
Why this firm
We speak Spanish because it is our language, not because we have a translator. [CONFIRM: who the attorneys are, since when, and specific experience in car accident cases.] We don't use generic "we fight for you" language. We write what is true and specific to this firm. [LEGAL REVIEW: no "best," "experts," or "specialists" without specialty certification, in which case name the certifying body.]
What if I was partly at fault?
Texas follows modified comparative negligence. If you were partly at fault, your recovery may be reduced by your percentage of fault, but you can generally still recover as long as you are not more than 50% responsible. The insurer will try to shift as much fault to you as possible. We push back. [LEGAL REVIEW]
If the other driver has no insurance
If the at-fault driver is uninsured or underinsured, you may have uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage through your own policy. We review your policy at no cost to see what coverage applies. [LEGAL REVIEW]
San Antonio — local specificity
[CONFIRM: office address, and whether there is more than one.] We know the corridors where accidents happen — I-35, I-10, Loop 410, 1604 — and Bexar County courts. This tells Google and the reader that the firm is here, not in a call center in another state.
Immigration status
In Texas, an injured person can generally pursue a personal injury claim regardless of immigration status. [LEGAL REVIEW]
